SinceJanuary/March 2021 all LED "bulbs" retro fitted in to a head-lamp will fail an MOT (if seen) as they are not regulated. From what I understand: The only way to get an LED lighting system seems to be to have the entire headlamp replaced with a full LED system inside. I have yet to figure out what aftermarket LED headlights will pass an MOT.

The regulations around lighting are not straightforward Whiteor yellow bulbs are required. The blue light produced by the bulbs is not approved for road use. The colour temperature of the headlights is not road legal. Youcan only display white or yellow headlights at the front of your car, and red tail lights at the rear - apart from indicators and reversing lights..
